December 10, 2014 Dear friends,
It has been a long
time since I have updated this newsletter. My whole life has been
changed with the trials we have been going through (see
last year's news letter). For almost 50 years, Marie has
been my "bookie" and my "pusher", meaning she scheduled my concerts
and pushed on me all kinds of vitamins and prescriptions, to keep me
well. She also did the accounting, banking, cooking and many other
things. Now I have the privilege and blessing to take care of Marie,
when she needs it. People who knew her well, called her "SUPER
WOMAN" as she could do ten things at once and do them all well. I'm
trying to learn cooking and some of the many other things Marie did.
Sadly to say I can't do ten things at once, it seems that sometimes
I can't do even one thing at once. Needless to say that is why the
newsletter has not been updated. In the future I will try to keep
the information current.
I had been praying that the Lord would help me, or send me help,
doing concert scheduling. We did a concert Sept. 11, 2014 at CAMP
BERACHAH in the Seattle area, and a couple from southern Oregon
approached me and said they thought the Lord was leading them to
help me do concert booking. PRAISE THE LORD!!! Sharon and Ray Talbot
could use help. If you think it would be a blessing to have a
WILLIAM HARNESS CONCERT in your church, please contact the Talbots
541-592-6861.
Due to helping Marie and slowing a little myself, I'm no longer able
to keep a full schedule, like before, but I would still like to do
one or two ministries a month. The Lord seems to be impressing on me
that He still wants me to stay in this ministry in spite of the
hardships. It would be easy to quit and just take care of Marie, but
I still have a great passion to use music as a tool to present my
Lord and Savior. Also I have been singing better than I have for
years, this happened through a miracle in my life. Almost more
important, Marie would like us to stay in the ministry. She is still
able to run the sound for my concerts. We practice for a week before
each concert, and I warn Marie, and also tell the audience that if
she makes a mistake I will stop the concert and walk down and give
her a kiss. The audience loves it, but I'm not entirely sure how
Marie feels about it.
Hopefully in the future, I will be able to add some pictures and
more music to this web page. One of my goals is to keep the "page"
current. I am so thankful to Ginny Gambill for doing the web page
for me, but it never gets updated if I don't send her the new
information.
With our love,
William & Marie
